Our Optometrists

Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision—many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses, both as eyeglass lenses and contact lenses.

Both Doctor Camp and Doctor Champion take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Meet our doctors:

Dr. Val Camp

Dr. Camp has been practicing in Sherwood Park for over 13 years. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.   

 

Dr. Camp earned his Doctor of Optometry degree form Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1987.

 

Dr. Camp moved to Edmonton after graduation and worked in a group practice until 1999, when he purchased Strathcona Vision Centre.  In the summer of 2011 he moved the office to a new building across the street in Euro Village and renamed the office Doctors EyeCare.  In his spare time Dr. Camp enjoys golf, traveling and spending time with his family.
